VMware Event Log returns an aggregate view of vCenter managed logging. You can determine which categories of event messages to collect when you enable WhatsVirtual event listeners for each vCenter server device.

Each log message record contains the following data columns:

  • Date. Date and time for the event message. (Relative to the time configured for the hypervisor.)
  • vCenter. Name or IP Address of the device where the event occurred.
  • DataCenter. Name of the data center if event is specific to a data center.
  • Host. Name of the host if event is specific to a host.
  • VirtualMachine. Name of the virtual machine if event is specific to a virtual machine.
  • User. VMWare user name associated with the event (applicable when event is the result of user action).
  • Event Type. Group in which the specific event is categorized.
  • Message. Any additional detail gathered from the device applicable to the specific event.

    Fetch and filter log data

    Choose device. Choose one or more host devices.

    Choose time constraints. Choose specific windows for log data, or choose Last Polled for the latest.

    Filter and reduce by row and by column. Select rows based on specific column values, remove columns, and remove noise and chaff from the table.

注: VMware Event Log only returns log messages for hosts that have the appropriate WhatsVirtual listeners and event collection enabled. For more details, see Enable WhatsVirtual Event Listeners.
ヒント: Date-time stamp for VMware Event Log log messages are relative to time settings configured for the vCenter/hypervisor.

  • レポートデータのエクスポート

    レポートデータは、さまざまな形式で WhatsUp Gold からエクスポートし、再利用および配布できます。[ダッシュボードオプション] () メニューから [展開] () を選択します。レポートを展開してから、[データのエクスポート] アイコンを選択して、次のオプションにアクセスします。

    • [HTML]。WhatsUp Gold ユーザーインターフェイスに表示されるレポートデータの .htm ファイルを生成し、ダウンロードします。
    • Excel。レポートデータを含む .xml スプレッドシートを生成し、ダウンロードします。
    • CSV。 レポートデータを含む .csv ファイルを生成し、ダウンロードします。
    • [テキスト]。レポートデータを含む .txt ファイルを生成し、ダウンロードします。
    • [エクスポートのスケジュール]。レポートデータをエクスポートする定期的な日時、形式、および E メールの宛先を設定します。

    現在のレポートデータのファイル形式オプションは、WhatsUp Gold バージョン 2021 以降を使用して作成されたエクスポートスケジュールにのみ適用されます。以前のバージョンの WhatsUp Gold を使用して作成されたレポートデータのエクスポートスケジュールは .PDF で出力されます。新しいファイル形式を適用するには、そのスケジュールを削除し、最新バージョンの WhatsUp Gold を使用してスケジュール済みレポートライブラリに再度作成する必要があります。
