Some widgets get added to the dashboard as soon as you click them in the Add widget drop-down (like Applications health). This is because there is no further configuration required to display the relevant information.

For the other widgets, various fields display when adding the widget, depending on the type of widget being added. The various widget fields that you may need to fill out when adding a widget are as follows:
  • Name: Specify an easily identifiable name for the widget that will be shown on the dashboard.
  • Refresh interval (minutes): Specify how often (in minutes) that the widget data should refresh.
  • Metric: Select the relevant metric to display details for, for example, for the Application Connections widget, you can display details relating to Total Connections Per Second, Total Established Connections, Maximum connections blocked, and so on.
  • Application selection: Select the relevant application to display details for.
  • Real server selection: Select the relevant Real Server to display details for.
  • Virtual server selection: Select the relevant Virtual Service to display details for.
  • Device selection: Select the relevant device to display details for.
  • Type: For some widgets, you can display details about applications or devices. The type field allows you to select either Application or LoadMaster. When you select Application, you can choose the application (or applications) to display details for. When you select LoadMaster, you can choose the device (or devices) to display details for.

Some widgets have a selectable time interval in the top-right corner, for example, Last hour. The exact timeframe is also shown in the bottom-left of the widget. Some widgets show current information (not information over a time period) - these widgets have a greyed-out clock symbol in the top-right.
