The Connector performs the following roles to deliver optimal application experience:
  • Gathers metrics from managed LoadMasters and sends to LoadMaster 360: The Connector utilizes the LoadMaster Application Programming Interface (API) to gather metrics and state information from managed LoadMasters. To enable this, you must allow communication from the Connector to the LoadMaster 360. This communication requires HTTPS traffic to be sent and appropriate firewall rules should be present to enable this outbound communication.
  • Acts as syslog receiver from LoadMaster: To provide details of configuration events and detect issues from the LoadMaster, the Connector acts as a syslog destination for LoadMaster logs.
  • Filters and reports information to LoadMaster 360: When the information is gathered, the Connector aggregates the data and reports it to LoadMaster 360.
