An asset is a measurable item constructed for subscription plans. The definition of an asset is different for LoadMaster 360 standalone subscriptions and pooled licensing subscriptions. Definitions for assets for both types of subscription are provided below.
LoadMaster 360 Standalone: Assets are made up of major value targets for monitoring and management. An asset is:
-
A single LoadMaster
-
Two LoadMasters in a High Availability (HA) pair
-
An application being load balanced by a LoadMaster
LoadMaster 360 Pooled: In a pooled subscription, only applications being load balanced by a LoadMaster are considered assets. LoadMasters themselves are not counted as assets because the pooled subscription restricts the maximum LoadMasters that you can deploy.
LoadMaster 360 allows you to define the applications you would like to monitor and manage from your LoadMasters. Normally each application is made up of one or many Virtual Services.
Examples of applications:
-
Microsoft Exchange 2016
-
VMware View
-
Web applications
-
Microsoft SharePoint
Scenario:

A customer has 2 LoadMaster HA pairs and 3 single LoadMasters.
A customer has 5 applications:
-
Exchange
-
SharePoint
-
3 web applications
Total number of assets = 10
