The LoadMaster itself or LoadMaster High Availability (HA) pair is down or unreachable. Being notified about this type of issue makes you aware of potential problems with your application delivery or LoadMaster 360 monitoring.
Some troubleshooting steps that you can perform to try to resolve this issue are as follows.
Check network connectivity:
- Ensure there are no network issues between the Connector and LoadMaster.
- Verify if the LoadMaster's network interfaces are up and configured correctly.
- Use tools like ping or traceroute on the LoadMaster to check connectivity between different network components.
Review the LoadMaster configuration:
- Access the LoadMaster's management interface and review its configuration settings.
- Verify that the Virtual Services, interfaces, and routing configurations are correctly configured.
- Ensure that any firewall rules or access control lists are not blocking traffic to the LoadMaster. LoadMasters communicate with the Connector over HTTPS (typically on port 443) and UDP 514.
- Confirm that Session Management has been enabled on the LoadMaster.
Verify the LoadMaster High Availability (HA) configuration (if
applicable):
- If the LoadMaster is in HA mode, ensure that both the primary and secondary units are operational.
- Check the synchronization status between the primary and secondary units.
Update the LoadMaster firmware:
Ensue that the LoadMaster has the latest firmware. LoadMaster 360 supports LoadMasters with firmware version 7.2.48.2 or above.
Contact Technical Support:
- If the issue persists after performing the above steps, consider contacting Progress Kemp Technical Support for further assistance.
- Provide detailed information about the issue, including any error messages, logs, and troubleshooting steps already taken.
