After adding a LoadMaster to LoadMaster 360, you can monitor your SSL certificates. Key information is provided on what certificates are in use, what applications are using them, the security posture, and alerts are sent relating to the expiration of your certificates. The Certificates page enables you to:

  • Display the Virtual Service usage per certificate
  • Display certificate expiry status (Expired, Less than 30 days, Less than 90 days, More than 90 days)
  • Show/Hide Certificates
  • Display key certificate meta data including: Type, Identifier, Common Name, Issuer, LoadMaster, Application and Expiry Date

You can access the Certificates screen in LoadMaster 360 by clicking Certificates in the Infrastructure drop-down menu.

When you add a LoadMaster to LoadMaster 360, all certificates are discovered. The default behavior is that only the certificates that are in use (assigned to Virtual Services and consequently to applications) are monitored. However, you can enable and disable certificate monitoring for each certificate in the repository by using the Show/Hide Certificates drop-down.

When a new certificate is detected, the certificate is hidden by default. To show and monitor the certificate, click Show/Hide Certificates and enable the certificate.
Note: For the show/hide functionality to work correctly in LoadMaster 360, ensure that the certificates uploaded to the LoadMaster have unique names.

The latest certificate information is automatically pulled from the LoadMasters on a daily basis. The Last refreshed date and time is displayed in the top-right of the Certificates screen. You can click Sync certificates to manually pull any certificate updates on demand.

The Certificates expiry section provides you with information at a glance about how many certificates are expired and which certificates are expiring in the next 30 and 90 days.

At the top of the Certificates summary section, there is a drop-down list where you can filter the list of certificates in the table based on their expiry timeframe. There is also a search box that allows you to filter the list by a search term entered. You can reset any filtering by clicking the Reset link.

On the right, there is a Columns drop-down that allows you to specify which columns to display in the table.

In the table, you can see:
  • Details about the certificate including the Identifier, Common Name, and Issuer.
  • What LoadMasters and applications are using each certificate. If a certificate is used by more than one application - you can click the arrow next to the certificate type to expand and view the specific application names.
  • The certificate expiry date.

You can sort the table by clicking any of the column headings.

In the bottom-left of the screen, you can select how many items to display per page. On the bottom-right, you can use the Previous and Next buttons to navigate through multiple pages, if required.
