The Application Timings functionality in LoadMaster 360 uses a Flowmon Collector to provide deeper insights into your applications. Insights are provided relating to the connections through the Virtual Services and Real Servers for your mapped applications.

Note: It is recommended that you configure and map all Virtual Services before deploying a Flowmon Collector. Due to a limitation in the process during profile creation, only Virtual Services that are mapped at the time of creation are included. If additional Virtual Services are mapped after deployment, you must recreate and redeploy the Flowmon Collector to include these updates.
To create a Flowmon Collector for LoadMaster 360, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to LoadMaster 360 using your Progress ID.
  2. Hover over the Infrastructure tab and click Device Inventory.
  3. Click Add Device and Flowmon Collector.
  4. Select the Connector to manage the Flowmon Collector and click Next.
Note: The Connector you select must be able to route to the Flowmon Collector you are creating.
  5. Enter a Name for the Flowmon Collector.
Note: The only accepted characters for the Name field are alphanumeric characters, dashes, underscores, and spaces.
  6. Select the hypervisor type.
  7. In the Network settings section, complete these steps:
    1. Enter an IP address/Subnet Mask for the Flowmon Collector being created.
    2. Enter the default Gateway.
    3. Enter a DNS address.
  8. Select a LoadMaster (or multiple LoadMasters) to monitor using the Flowmon Collector and click Next.
Note: The LoadMasters you can select are the ones assigned to the Connector you selected.
  9. Review the configured details and click Finish.
  10. LoadMaster 360 then creates the Flowmon Collector. When this is complete, the zip file download automatically starts.
Note: It can take approximately 10 to 13 minutes to create and download the Flowmon Collector deployment file. You can check the Status of the Flowmon Collector on the Device Inventory screen.
  11. Next, you must deploy the Flowmon Collector Virtual Machine in your hypervisor.
Note: When a Flowmon Collector is created in LoadMaster 360, the network telemetry settings on the selected LoadMasters are automatically configured on the eth0 interface.
