Before you power on the Connector Virtual Machine in your hypervisor, the Connector Status is Waiting for first connection. When you power on the Connector Virtual Machine, it initializes. During initialization, the Connector passes through the various states. The initialization states of a Connector are as follows:
  • Initializing
  • Loading Services
  • Starting Import
  • Starting Services
  • Connector Ready
  • Reachable
A timeout value is set for each state of initialization. An error message is generated if initialization fails at any state. The possible error statuses are as follows:
  • Error initializing connector
  • Error loading services
  • Error starting import
  • Error starting core services

If any of these errors appear, reboot the Connector Virtual Machine to restart the initialization process.

After the Connector initializes, you can access a Connector Status page where you can check various status details relating to the Connector. For further details, refer to the Connector details page section.
