Deactivate the existing LoadMaster license

You can deactivate the LoadMaster license either using the LoadMaster User Interface (UI) or using Kemp 360 Central. For further details, refer to the following sections.
Deactivate using the LoadMaster User Interface (UI)
To deactivate a license using the LoadMaster UI, follow these steps:
- Log in to the LoadMaster:
- In a web browser, go to https://LoadMasterIPAddress.
- Enter the bal username and password.
- Go to System Configuration >
System Administration > License Management.

- Deactivate the LoadMaster license:
- Under License Management, click
Deactivate VLM.

- Click OK on the prompt.

- A message appears that says License
Killed - Need to Relicense.Note: Do not reboot the LoadMaster, because this resets the bal password. We recommend keeping the existing password until the device has been added to LoadMaster 360.
- Under License Management, click
Deactivate VLM.
Deactivate using Kemp 360 Central
To deactivate a license using Kemp 360 Central, follow these steps:
Note: This is only applicable for MELA and pooled
LoadMasters.
- Log in to the Kemp 360 Central User Interface (UI).

- From the menu on the left, click the Network and Device Administration icon.
- Next, select the LoadMaster you want to transition the license
for. Take note of the LoadMaster’s IP address because you will need this
later.

- Click the Remove the currently selected
network or device (minus) icon.

- Click Yes to remove the license from
this LoadMaster.Note: Do not reboot the LoadMaster, because this will reset the bal password. We recommend keeping the existing password until the device has been added to LoadMaster 360.
