When you click the settings cog icon in the top-right of the LoadMaster 360 User Interface (UI):
  • A Settings page is displayed that provides a collapsible panel on the left with Global settings, Multi-factor authentication and an About page.
  • Under Global settings, you can change the following settings:
    • Timezone: The time is displayed in the following format: DD-MMM-YYYY HH:MM.

    • Health check interval: Adjust the timing of event notifications from your Connector to LoadMaster 360. The diagram above shows an example of what would happen with this interval set to 5 minutes.
Note: Valid values for the Interval (minutes) field range from 2 to 60 (minutes). The default and recommended value is 2 minutes. Incident emails and alerts in the Incidents center are suppressed based on the health check interval. For example, if the interval is set to 5 minutes and a Virtual Service goes down for 4 minutes and then comes back up, no incident emails or alerts are provided. If an Application is malfunctioning for 5 minutes or more, an incident email and alert is provided.
Note: Only the tenant owner has access to update the timezone and health check interval settings in the LoadMaster 360 tenant. All other users inherit the tenant owner's settings. For the updated timezone to take effect, you must log out of LoadMaster 360 and log in again.
    • WAF event tolerance: You can use the Time range and Event tolerance drop-down lists to adjust the duration and tolerance level over which WAF events are generated. The default values are 24 hours (duration) and Low (tolerance). You can select Low, Medium, or High as the Event tolerance.

LoadMaster 360 calculates the baseline number of WAF events per Virtual Service for the selected Time range. It then compares the current number of events for the specific Virtual Service to this baseline, using your selected Event tolerance level. An incident is generated if the current number of events exceeds the baseline at the chosen percentile level (Low, Medium, or High). If it does not exceed the baseline, no incident is generated.

The Low, Medium, and High values map to the 90th, 95th, and 99th percentile, respectively. For example, if the Time range is set to 1 month and the Event tolerance is set to High, this maps to the 99th percentile. LoadMaster 360 calculates the previous month's baseline, for example, 10 WAF events. If the new value on the specific Virtual Service mapped under an application is above 10, an incident is generated for that application. If it is below 10, an incident is not generated.

Note: The WAF event tolerance drop-down lists are grayed out and not configurable unless you have an Enterprise Plus subscription.
