This section provides step-by-step instructions on how to deploy a Connector Virtual Machine (VM) in a Microsoft Azure environment.
To create an Azure Connector (Beta) in LoadMaster 360, follow these steps:
- Go to Infrastructure > Device Inventory.
- Click Add Device and Create Connector.
- Select Azure.
- Enter a Connector Name.Note: Extra Small - 32 GB is the only available Disk size for Azure Connectors at present.Note: By default, the Azure connector has 7GB worth of space for storing system logs and 7GB worth of space for storing Edge Security Pack (ESP)/Web Application Firewall (WAF) logs. You can extend the log storage space in the Connector to store a larger set of log data. To do this, contact the Progress Kemp Support team.
- Select a site and click Add. If the relevant site does not exist yet, enter a Site name and click Add site.
- LoadMaster 360 then creates the Connector deployment file. Generating the Azure deployment file can take up to 10 minutes. When this is complete, the zip file download automatically starts.
- Unzip/extract the zip file after the download completes.
You must have a resource group and storage account created in Azure before you can deploy a Connector VM.
The Connector VM must be created in Azure for the status to become reachable in LoadMaster 360. You can either create the Connector Virtual Machine in Azure using the User Interface (UI) (uploading of the deployment file takes longer in the UI) or using the Command Line Interface (CLI). Refer to the relevant section depending on your preference.
