Creating and using hotdrops in the Send To menu
HotDrops in Send To menu are shortcuts for transferring files to remote FTP directories. After you create a HotDrop in the Send To menu, the site HotDrop is added to the shortcut menu (right-click menu) with the site name; for example, mysite.
When you right-click on a file in Windows Explorer or the local WS_FTP main window, select Send To > WS_FTP HotDrop and the name of the target HotDrop site in the list, the file is transferred to the selected FTP directory. Sites that are set as HotDrop in the Send To menu are indicated with a check mark beside the site icon.
To set up a HotDrop in the Send To menu
- In the tool bar, click Connect (or select Connections > Site Manager) to open the Site Manager.
- Right-click a remote site, then click Create HotDrop in the Send To Menu. The Create HotDrop dialog appears.Note: The Create HotDrop in the Send to menu option is not enabled if the connection is made from the Address bar.
