Customizing the appearance of tabs

Change the Color of a Tab

You can modify the color of its tab by right-clicking on it. If the tab has not been saved (a connection made via the Quick Connect bar or local view made via the New Local View button), you must save it before you can modify the properties of its tab.

  1. Right-click on the tab you want to modify. A context menu appears.
  2. Select Set Color.
  3. Select a color or one of the following options:
    • Random Color - Changes the color of the tab to a randomly chosen color.
    • Default Color - Changes the color of the tab to the color specified in the Program Options: Display dialog.
    • Pick a Color... - Opens a color dialog that allows you to select a Windows color to blend a custom color.

Remote tab colors can also be changed via the Startup page of the Site Options dialog.

Local tab colors can also be changed via the Local Options dialog.

Change the Default Colors for New Tabs

You can specify colors to be applied to all new remote and local tabs.

  1. Click Options in the main toolbar (or select Tools > Options from the menu bar). The Program Options dialog appears.
  2. Select Display from the tree on the left. The Display page appears.
  3. Under Default Colors, select a color for Local and Remote tabs.
