Viewing a file (in its associated application)

  1. Select the file.
  2. Click View.

If the file you want to view is on an FTP site, WS_FTP first transfers the file to these directories:

  • Windows 7, 8, Vista, Server 2008: \Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Progress\WS_FTP\Storage
  • Windows XP: \DocumentsandSettings\Username\ApplicationData\Progress\Ws_ftp\Storage

Then, the file is opened in the Text Viewer. You can select the Save As... menu option and save the file to whatever name you want.
