Configuring a firewall

To enter firewall information, you will need to get information about your firewall from your network administrator. For more information, see Firewall types and required information for WS_FTP.

  1. In the toolbar, select Options.
  2. In the left pane, select Firewall.
  3. Click New. The Firewall Properties dialog appears.
  4. Enter the required firewall information and click OK. Once it is complete, the firewall entry appears in the Configured Firewalls box.

You can now assign the firewall configuration to the site, by selecting the name of the configured firewall from the list on the Advanced tab of the Site Options dialog. For more directions on how to do this, see Using a configured firewall.
