Overview of Scripting (WS_FTP Professional)
How to get to the Script Utility
The Script Utility lets you write, debug, and execute scripts that can perform many of the file transfer operations available in WS_FTP.
The Script Utility Tool Bar
- Open - Click to locate a script file to open.
- Save - Click to save either the script or the log file.
- Clear - Click to clear the script window, the log window, or both windows.
- Run - Click to run the commands in the script window.
- Step - Click to step through the commands in the script window one command at a time. Each time you click, the next command is executed.
- Stop - Click to terminate a running script.
- Schedule - Click to open the Schedule Item Properties dialog to set up tasks for the Scheduler Utility to run. After information is entered, click OK to add the item to the Scheduler queue.
The Log Window Right-Click Menu
Right-clicking on the Log window allows you to save or print the log, in addition to standard text functions.
