Program Options: Compression (WS_FTP Professional)
How to get to the Program Options Dialog
When Compression Mode is enabled, files are compressed into a ZIP archive before they are uploaded. Compression Mode has no effect on downloads.
- Compression - This option determines the degree of compression used. (If you select None, the files are simply grouped into a ZIP archive without any compression.)
- Preserve File Path - When selected, the entire folder path from the root of the drive is maintained in the archive. When cleared, only relative folder paths are saved.
- Password Protect - Select to enable the password options:
- Password - Enter the password you want to protect the ZIP archive with.
- Hide Typing - When selected, the display of the password you enter is replaced with asterisks. When cleared, the password is displayed in clear text.
