Setting Up Notifications for File Transfers

  1. In the tool bar, click Options (or select Tools > Options) to open the Program Options dialog.
  2. In the left pane, select E-Mail Notifications.

    Use this page to manage e-mail notifications.

    The Mail section of this page defines values that are shared among all e-mail notifications.

    • From Address - Enter the e- mail address you want the e-mail notification to come from.
    • Mail Server - Enter the name of an SMTP mail server.
    • Client Domain - If required by the SMTP server, the name of the client domain.
    • Authentication - Click this button to enter SMTP username/password authentication.
    • Server Port - Set the port number for the mail server identified above. The default SMTP port is 25.
    • Connect Timeout - After this number of seconds, close the SMTP connection.

    The Notification List is used to manage specific notifications. Click the checkbox beside an e-mail notification to enable or disable that notification.

    • Add - Click this button to create a new e-mail notification.
    • Edit - Click this button to modify the selected notification.
    • Remove - Click this button to remove the selected notification.
