Transfer Manager Status Codes

The Status column in the Transfer Manager indicates the event currently in progress. All possible status messages and their meanings are listed below.

  • Pending - The transfer is waiting to begin. This message is common if you are attempting to transfer more files than the number listed in Maximum number of concurrent transfers.
  • Paused - The transfer is paused. This message only appears if you explicitly pause the transfer.
  • Finished - The transfer has completed successfully.
  • Failed - The transfer failed.
  • Uploading - Files are being sent from your computer to a remote server.
  • Downloading - Files are being sent from a remote server to your computer.
  • Transferring - Files are being sent between two remote servers.
  • Compressing - Files are being compressed into a zip archive. This message appears when a file is sent in Compression Mode, or when you send a file using the Compress and Upload function from the right- click menu.
  • Sending e- mail - A transfer has met the criteria of an e-mail notification, and WS_FTP is sending the e-mail.
  • Expanding folders - WS_FTP is calculating the size of a transfer that includes multiple folders and subfolders.
  • OpenPGP Encrypting - Files are being encrypted using OpenPGP Mode.
  • Combining - The parts of a download made in Multipart Mode is being reassembled on your computer.
  • Finished and Notified - The transfer completed successfully, and an e-mail notification was successfully sent.
  • Failed and Notified - The transfer did not complete successfully, but an e-mail notification was successfully sent.
  • Finished and Notification Failed - The transfer completed successfully, but an e-mail notification failed to send.
  • Failed and Notification Failed - The transfer did not complete successfully, and an e-mail notification failed to send.
