Site Options: Converting File Extensions

How to get to the Site Options Dialog

WS_FTP can automatically convert the extensions of files you transfer to a selected FTP host (site). For example, if the FTP site uses .html for HTML files and your system uses .htm, you can specify that all files with the extension .html be converted to .htm when they are downloaded to your system.

The Extensions dialog list, under Connections > Site Manager > [select a folder or site] > Edit > Transfer > Extensions, shows all user defined extension conversions for the selected FTP host.

Note: Extensions can be set up for a per host basis or as a program option for all files. The Convert Extensions option, at Site Options: Transfer, must be selected to enable the host settings or the program options settings. If Extension settings are defined for a host and the program options, the host settings take priority over the program options settings. For more information about setting up Extension settings for a selected host, see Program Options: Converting File Extensions.
