Program Options: Firewall

How to get to the Program Options Dialog

  • Use UPnP for PORT commands - If selected, WS_FTP attempts to detect and manage the firewall using UPnP. This option only works on Windows XP, and you may need to explicitly enable UPnP on your firewall.
  • Force PORT IP address - If selected, WS_FTP uses the specified IP address for all PORT commands.
  • Limit local port range - If selected, WS_FTP uses only ports between the specified Minimum and Maximum.
  • Configured Firewalls - This list is used to manage firewall configurations.
    • To create a new firewall entry, click New and enter the appropriate firewall properties.
    • To edit a firewall entry, select the firewall name and click Edit.The Firewall Properties dialog appears.
    • To delete a firewall entry, select the firewall name and click Delete.
    • To edit the firewall script, select the firewall entry from the Configured Firewalls box and click the FireScript Editor button.
