MODE Command

Syntax: MODE (PORT or PASV or COMPRESS or APPEND or MULTIPART) [on/off]

What it does: Specifies the use of PASV, PORT, Append, Multipart or Compression Modes

Notes:

OpenPGP Mode can be used, but it must be set to be enabled by default in the site's Site Options: OpenPGP dialog.

COMPRESS only works for uploads.

MULTIPART only works for downloads.

PASV and PORT are mutually exclusive, so turning one on automatically turns the other off.

APPEND mode is ignored when selecting compress or PGP file transfers.
