Directory Properties

The Properties dialog displays information on a selected remote file or folder.

  • Site - The Site Profile used to connect to this site.
  • Location - The path from the root directory to this file or folder.
  • Type - The type of directory viewed (folder or file.)
  • Total Size - The total size, in KB and Bytes of all of the files and folders stored in this directory, or the file size of the selected file. This is only shown for directories if Show full size of remote folders in Directory Properties is selected in the Display dialog of Program Options.
  • Date - The date the item was last modified.
  • Attributes - The attributes that are set on this item (if any exist).
  • Contains - The number of files and folders contained in this directory. This is only shown if Show full size of remote folders in Directory Properties is selected in the Display dialog of Program Options.
  • UNIX Permissions
  • Numeric Value - You can enter a numeric value to manually set permissions on the item or items selected. See 'Unix file permissions' for more information.
  • Owner, Group, and World - These sections let you view and change file permissions on a UNIX (host type) FTP site, provided you have permission to do so. The proper permission settings depend on what you want to do and who normally can read files by default; this information should be available from the FTP site administrator.
