Web Alarms report reveals recent web alarms observed on your network.

Understand column data

The default view of each report contains a grid with the following columns:

  • Device. The name of the device that triggered the web alarm.
  • Monitor. The name of the specific monitor that triggered the web alarm.
  • State. The current state of the device that triggered the web alarm.
  • Duration. The time elapsed since the web alarm was triggered.
  • Start Date. The date and time the device entered the displayed state.
  • Message. The details of what triggered the alarm (e.g., device state change).

Additionally, the web alarms interface offers the following controls:

  • Dismiss. Selecting this option lets WhatsUp Gold know you are not concerned with the individual alarm and removes it from the Web Alarms history completely. This alarm will no longer appear/sound.
  • Acknowledge. Selecting this option dismisses the individual alarm as described previously and also marks the corresponding device as "Acknowledged".
  • Ignore All. Selecting this option lets WhatsUp Gold know you are not concerned with any current web alarms. Subsequent alarms will still be triggered. Please note, alarms previously dismissed or ignored will be triggered again once the user has logged out of the current session. In other words, prior alarms are only ignored for the duration of the current user’s session.
