This dialog allows you to specify which device's belong to the group based on a their individual properties such as Role, Name or IP Address as well as any connected devices. First, as with any other device group, the device group name and description can be modified as needed. Then, you can configure the following to set membership for the group:

Click the Device Membership Criteria Edit hyperlink, then:

  • Select a Base Device Set from the drop-down menu at the top of the dialog as the first consideration for group membership.
  • Use the Add/Delete icons to apply or remove filters based on a device's assigned role(s) to further refine group membership.
  • Enter any host, system, and/or NetBIOS names as well as any IP and/or Subnet addresses to ensure specific devices are included in the group.

If you would like other devices connected to those devices currently belonging to the device group you're editing, enable Include Connected Devices, then click the Connected Devices Edit hyperlink and repeat the steps above as needed to refine group membership criteria for any connected devices.
