The State Change Acknowledgment Report journals the acknowledgment of state change notifications. When a device state change is detected, WhatsUp Gold puts the device into a 'waiting for acknowledgment' mode.

Note: Acknowledging a device state change does not keep that device from firing actions. To stop a device from firing actions, you must put the device into maintenance mode.

Understand column data

The default view of each report contains a grid with the following columns:

  • Device. Current state indicator and name of the device.
  • Device Type. The type of device.
  • Unacknowledged for. Amount of time the device has remained unacknowledged on this report.
  • Start Date. The date and time the active monitor entered the displayed state.
  • In Maintenance. Indicates whether or not the device is in maintenance mode. The state is either yes or no.
