The Device Properties - Active Monitors property allows you to display and manage active monitors for the device. Active monitors regularly query or poll the device for which they are configured and wait for responses. For example, active monitors query or poll for ping accessibility, device services, and device files and folders. Although active monitors are managed from the Monitor Library, you can access the library from this device property. For more information, see Active monitors overview.

Configure the following:

  • Critical. Click to select critical monitors for the device and set their polling order. For more information, see Configuring a critical polling path.
  • Add. Click to configure a new active monitor. Follow the directions in the Active Monitors Properties wizard.
  • Options. Select an active monitor, then use the row menu options to configure the following:
    • Edit. Click to change the configuration. Follow the directions in the Active Monitors Properties wizard.
    • Remove. Click to remove the monitor from the device.
  • Save. Click to store changes to the device.
