The Configuration Management Policy Library (SETTINGS > Configuration Management > Policy Library) displays all policies currently configured for use with Configuration Management archive configuration files by name, description, and type (either system, pre-defined policies, or user-defined policies). Use the following controls to manage policies in the library:

  • Add. Click the Add icon () to create a new policy.
  • Edit. Select a policy, then click the Edit icon () to make changes.
  • Copy. Select a policy, then click the Copy icon () to duplicate a policy.
  • Delete. Select a policy, then click the Delete icon () to remove it from the library.
  • Audit Now. Select a policy, then click Audit Now to audit (test) a policy.
  • Import. Click Import to locate and select an .XML file to add to the Configuration Management Policy Library. The intent of this feature is to import .XML files previously exported from the Configuration Management Policy Library in WhatsUp Gold.
  • Export. Select a policy, then click Export to save the policy as an .XML file to an external location.
