To deploy a Hyper-V connector in WhatsUp Gold 360, follow these steps:

  1. Extract the files from the .zip folder generated by WhatsUp Gold 360.
  2. Launch the Hyper-V Manager application.
  3. Select New > Virtual Machine to launch the New Virtual Machine Wizard.
  4. Enter a Name for the virtual machine in the field provided, then click Next.
  5. Select Generation 1 for the virtual machine using the radio button provided, then click Next.
  6. Enter the amount of memory to be allocated to the virtual machine in the field provided, then click Next.
  7. Indicate if you'd like the virtual machine to use a virtual switch or stay disconnected using the drop-down menu provided, then click Next.
  8. Select Use an existing virtual hard disk, browse to the location of the connector download, select it, then click Next.
  9. Review the summary information presented, then click Finish.
  10. In the Hyper-V Manager user interface, right-click on the name of the virtual machine you've just created, then click Connect.
  11. When the virtual machine appears, click the green power button or select Action > Start to turn on the virtual machine.
