The Connectors / Server Instances interface provides details about the instances of WhatsUp Gold being managed and the connectors deployed on site which provide connectivity between those instances and WhatsUp Gold 360.

To access this view, click Infrastructure > Connectors in the menu at the top of the WhatsUp Gold 360 interface.

The list of connectors and interfaces displayed is searchable and can also be filtered by Type, Site, and/or IP Address using the Filter control at the top of the interface. The search field and filter controls can be hidden from view by clicking Collapse filters at the right side of the interface. To remove all filters applied and revert to the default view, click Reset.

For each connector and server instance displayed, you can see the following information:

  • Connector / Server Instance. The name entered when the site was added to WhatsUp Gold 360. Click any hyperlinked Connector name to launch a new browser tab displaying a detailed status report.
  • Status. The current status of the connector or server instance.
  • Type. Indicates if the line item is a connector or an instance of WhatsUp Gold
  • Site name. The site name associated with the connector. Click the site name to launch the Site Management interface with a site-specific filter already applied.
  • IP address. The IP address of the connector or WhatsUp Gold instance.
  • Total devices. The number of devices monitored by the connector/instance. Click the number to launch the Devices interface with a connector-specific filter already applied.
  • Monitors. Indicates which monitors are currently assigned to the connector.
  • Last update. The most recent date and time connector or WhatsUp Gold instance information was updated.

These columns can be alternately displayed or hidden based on user preference. Click Columns at the right side of the interface. This launches a dialog containing a toggle control for each column. Use these controls to specify which user information should be displayed. Columns displayed can also be sorted as needed using the controls visible when hovering over any column header.

Click Connectors (x/y) to access Usage and billing information.

You can also use the additional controls displayed to:

  • Add. Add a new Connector or WhatsUp Gold instance to WhatsUp Gold 360.
  • Edit an existing connector or WhatsUp Gold instance.
  • Download an existing connector for deployment.
  • Delete an existing connector or WhatsUp Gold instance.
  • Redeploy (Regenerate and download) an existing connector that is in an Unreachable state. Please note, if you redeploy a connector, you must then deploy the Connector Virtual Machine in your hypervisor. All existing data is transferred to the new connector.
  • Click Credentials to launch a dialog where you can view, modify, or copy the credentials used to log in to the Connector.

Please note, there is no need to manually update your connectors. WhatsUp Gold 360 handles automatic updates of your cloud connector when necessary.
