You can search for items to limit the number of items shown in the list.

Searching, filtering, and sorting can be used in combination to limit the items shown in the list

The Search field is available at page level on the TASKS, HOSTS, RESOURCES, REPORTS, and SYSTEM tabs. The following list details the search options available on each page.
  • TASKS: Task Name, Description.
  • HOSTS: Host name, Description, Destination.
  • RESOURCES > Scripts: Name.
  • RESOURCES > Task Groups: Name.
  • RESOURCES > Date Lists: Name, Description.
  • RESOURCES > Keys and Certs: Name, Key ID.
  • RESOURCES > Global Parameters: Name, Value.
  • REPORTS > Task Run: Task Name
  • REPORTS > File Activity: Source Path, Destination Path.
  • REPORTS > Audit: Target Name, Username, IP Address.
  • SYSTEM > System Log: Time, Thread, Message.

Search current page

To limit the number of items that are displayed in the page list, you can search the list.

  1. Input the search item in the search field in the Search & Filters panel.

The default search will match the search string if it occurs anywhere in the search fields. For example, the search te searches for test, text, and enter.

An updated list is generated as the search term is input in the Search field.

Wildcard searches

You can use wildcard characters to search for words that match a specified pattern.

Wildcard search terms can contain an asterisk (*) for multiple characters, or a question mark (?) for single characters.

Multiple character wildcard searches looks for 0 or more characters. For example, the search test* searches for test, tests or tester.

?

Single character wildcard searches look for terms that match that with the single character replaced. For example, the search te?t searches for text or test.

Note: Wildcard searches are not available on the Task Run, File Activity, or Audit Reports.

Task List Searching

A search applied on the Task List page is automatically applied to the Task Run, File Activity, and Audit tabs as a filter. You can remove or edit the applied filters. For more information about removing or editing the filter, see Filtering.

To show/hide the Search & Filters panel:

  1. Click the Show or Hide Search & Filters icon .
