The Lockout tab provides a way to manage lockouts when the Web Admin is not available. Use this tab only in an emergency. Use of the Web Admin is preferred.

The Lockout tab provides three capabilities:

  • IP Lockouts. To unlock an IP address, enter the IP address in the IP address to unlock field and click the Unlock button . The utility confirms that the IP address is locked, then unlocks that IP address. A message confirms that the IP address is unlocked.
  • User Lockouts. To unlock a user, enter the user name in the User to unlock field and click the Unlock button . The utility confirms that the user is locked, then unlocks that user. A message confirms that the user is unlocked.
  • Trusted IPs. To trust an IP address, enter the IP address in the IP to trust field and click the Trust button . The utility confirms that the IP address is not already trusted, then adds the IP address to the trusted list. A message confirms that the IP address is added to the trusted list.
Note: Trusting an IP address is usually necessary only when Web Admin is installed on a different computer than MOVEit Automation, in which case the IP address of Web Admin should be trusted.

Note: TransferWarning When any one of the Lockout tab operations is performed, the configuration utility creates an audit record. This record breaks the cryptographic hash chain of audit records as it is not written by MOVEit Automation. The next run of the nightly Tamper Check task will send a warning email.
