Note:
For tenant administrators.
Identity providers
Progress Data Cloud does not store user credentials. Authentication is performed through third-party identity providers that support OAuth 2.0.
Progress Data Cloud natively supports these providers:
Note:
-
To use a different OAuth 2.0 identity provider, contact the Progress Data Cloud Operations Team.
-
Any issue regarding authentication, revocation of credentials, or similar concerns requires coordination between the tenant administrator, the identity provider administrator, and the Progress Data Cloud Operations Team.
Multi-factor authentication
Progress Data Cloud recommends enabling Multi-factor authentication (MFA) as part of your identity provider configuration to help prevent unauthorized access to your tenancy.
Domains
Users typically belong to a domain in your identity provider directory. So, when you configure your tenancy to accept users from certain domains, any users attempting to register themselves through other domains are automatically rejected. Configure only the domains to which your potential users belong.
Note:
If you are using Microsoft Entra, consider having the domain administrators join the tenancy, telling them to select Consent on behalf of your organization before clicking Accept on the Microsoft Permissions requested window. Now, other users from these domains can register without seeing this window.
You may need ask your domain administrator to add Progress Data Cloud as a verified publisher.
