Use these examples as starting points when you build Flux jobs for export, import, and copy workflows in Progress Data Cloud.
Export rows to CSV through S3
This example exports data from an Optic query to compressed CSV files in S3.
./bin/flux export-delimited-files \
--auth-type saml \
--saml-token "yoursamltoken" \
--query "op.fromView('main','presidents')" \
--path s3a://your-bucket/exports/presidents/ \
--batch-size 5000 \
--compression zip \
--zip-file-count 10
Import JSONL from S3 into MarkLogic
This example imports JSON Lines data from S3 into a MarkLogic service in PDC.
./bin/flux import-aggregate-json-files \
--json-lines \
--path "s3://your-bucket/path/file.jsonl" \
--connection-string "<user>:<password>@yourenv.data.progress.cloud:443" \
--collections "YourCollection" \
--permissions "rest-reader,read,rest-writer,update" \
--uri-template "/YourCollection/{AccountID}/{ID}.json" \
--host yourenv.data.progress.cloud \
--port 443 \
--auth-type cloud \
--cloud-api-key <api_key> \
--base-path ml/ml/mls/your-rest-server \
--batch-size 500 \
--thread-count 32
Copy between MarkLogic databases
This example copies content from a source MarkLogic database to a target PDC service.
./bin/flux copy \
--input-connection-string "user:pwd@source-host:port" \
--output-connection-string "user:pwd@pdc-host:443" \
--auth-type cloud \
--cloud-api-key <api_key> \
--collections "to-migrate" \
--batch-size 2000 \
--log-progress
