Test the imported task before using it in production.

To test an imported task, keep Auto-Run disabled and complete the following steps:
  1. Confirm that an appropriate agent or agent pool is assigned.
  2. Review all warning summary comments.
  3. Review all step-level comments.
  4. Review endpoints, authentication methods, keys, certificates, and schedules.
  5. Run the task manually in a controlled environment.
  6. Verify connectivity to all endpoints.
  7. Confirm that all authentication methods work.
  8. Validate file selection and filtering behavior.
  9. Validate source and destination behavior.
  10. Validate processing steps, such as zip, unzip, and PGP actions.
  11. Validate email, conditional, and post-run actions.
  12. Compare the results with the equivalent MOVEit Automation task.
  13. Correct any configuration issues.
Note: Importing a task does not guarantee exact behavioral equivalence between MOVEit Automation and Automate MFT. The imported configuration must be reviewed and tested before production use.
