Endpoints define the remote or local servers that Automate MFT interacts with to perform file transfers. Endpoints serve as the source or destination in automated tasks. An endpoint must be explicitly defined and configured before it can be referenced in any task workflow for file retrieval or delivery.
Before you can create an endpoint, you must first define the Authentication Method that is used to log on to the endpoint, establish secure connections, and perform transfers.
Add an endpoint
Automate MFT supports multiple types of endpoints.
- Click the Libraries drop-down menu and select Endpoints.
- Click the Add Endpoints drop-down menu and select SFTP.
- Provide a unique name for the endpoint.
- Provide the server’s DNS hostname or IP address.
- Select the authentication method created in step 1 .
- Configure the Connection Retry Settings.
- Leave other settings as default and click Save.
