The Tasks screen in Automate MFT provides a centralized interface for managing and monitoring file transfer tasks. It is organized into several key sections:
  • The Folders panel allows users to browse and organize tasks by folder.
    • The All Tasks view displays every task in the system that the user is authorized to access.
    • Users can create custom folders to organize their tasks based on their requirements and preferences.

      Tasks added to custom folders also remain in the All Tasks folder. Tasks cannot be added to more than one custom folder.

  • The main panel displays the Task List or Activity View.
    • The Task List view presents a tabular view of tasks. The displayed columns are based on the selected column filters. The default selection includes task name, tags, schedule, currently assigned agent/agent pool, parent folder, source endpoint names, and destination endpoint names.
    • The Activity View presents a tabular view of task activity and shows more data that the Task list view. The displayed columns are based on the selected column filters. The default selection includes task name, tags, schedule, currently assigned agent/agent pool, last execution start time, last execution status, last execution downloaded files count, last execution size of downloaded files, last execution uploaded files count, and last execution size of uploaded files.
  • The right panel displays Details or Activity information for a selected task, as well as action icons for quick task operations.
    • Action icons
      • The Run Now icon () executes the task immediately.
      • The Edit Task icon () opens the task configuration screen for modifications
    • Details tab
      • The Details panel shows a read-only view of the selected task’s configuration in a concise manner. It also shows the task schedule, as well as information about the task steps, agent/agent pool, folder, tags, and parameters.
    • Activity tab
      • The Activity panel provides a summary of task execution outcomesover a configurable time range, including recent historical activity and upcoming scheduled runs, and a table of detailed run results for the currently selected task. The run results include queued time, start time, agent, status, and duration.

        You can adjust the displayed time range using the available time‑span options:

        • Past activity: From the past hour up to the past 30 days.
        • Scheduled runs: The next hour, next 12 hours, or next 24 hours.
      • In the Activity panel, each task run includes a More options menu that provides quick access to detailed reporting for that specific task run. To open the contextual menu, click the more options icon (). The following options are available:
        • View Task Run: Opens the Task Run report filtered to show details for the selected task run, including start time, duration, execution status, agent, and transfer summary.

        • View File Activity: Opens the File Activity report filtered to show only the files processed during the selected task run. This allows you to see which files were transferred, their source and destination paths, sizes, and status.
