Endpoints define the remote or local servers that Automate MFT interacts with to perform file transfers. Endpoints serve as the source or destination in automated tasks and are managed through a central library for reuse and management. An endpoint must be explicitly defined and configured before it can be referenced in any task workflow.
Supported endpoint types
- SFTP
- MOVEit Transfer
- Local
- CIFS
- S3 (AWS)
- FTPS
- SMTP
- ShareFile
- Azure Blob Storage
- SharePoint
- Google Cloud Storage
- OneDrive
Authentication management
Authentication is handled separately from endpoints. If available, you can choose from a list of defined authentication methods, or you can define a new authentication method during the endpoint setup process, without navigating to a separate configuration area.
Quick view
The Details panel appears on the right side of the interface when an endpoint is selected from the endpoint list. It provides a concise summary of the endpoint details and task usage information.
The Endpoint ID, which is displayed in the Details panel, includes a copy action, allowing you to copy the value directly to the clipboard and use it in custom scripts or other configurations that require an endpoint identifier.
