Schedules define the timing and frequency of automated task execution in Automate MFT. Each schedule specifies when one or more tasks should run, allowing for precise control over workflows. While a task can be linked to multiple schedules, at least one schedule is required for it to run automatically. Tasks may also be executed manually by an operator, independent of any schedule.

Add a schedule

  1. Click the Libraries drop-down menu and select Schedules > Add Schedule
  2. Enter the schedule details:
    • Name: Provide a unique name (required).
    • Description: Optionally, add a description for context.
  3. Set the time zone and time range.
    • Choose the appropriate time zone from the drop-down list.
    • Set a start time manually or use the clock icon. Optionally, configure the repeat and end time settings. To add additional run times, click the plus (+) button and configure the start, repeat, and end settings.
  4. Specify the schedule days and months:
    • Choose when the schedule should run. Select specific days, dates, or months.
  5. Set the effective date range:
    • Enter the start and end (optional) date and time manually or using the date and time picker.
  6. Use the toggle switch to Enable the schedule.
  7. Click Save to finalize and store the new schedule.
