Progress Automate MFT is a cloud-based and SaaS solution accessible through a web browser. However, if you plan to install and use a self-hosted agent, your system must meet specific minimum requirements. The agent supports installation on both Windows and Linux platforms. Detailed requirements for each operating system are provided below.

Note: Ensure that the system hosting the self-hosted agent has accurate date and time settings. If the system clock differs by more than five minutes from the expected time, the agent will fail to establish a connection.

Disk space

Sufficient disk space must be available to accommodate the total size of all files that may be in transit simultaneously. The self-hosted agent uses a local cache to temporarily store files during task execution. All files associated with a task are retained in this cache for the duration of the task run.

As the self-hosted agent is capable of executing multiple tasks concurrently, the required disk space must be calculated based on the cumulative size of all files involved in parallel task runs. It is essential to have adequate disk capacity to support your workload under these conditions.
