To troubleshoot issues with restricted mode status, look for these messages:
- If the database is in restricted mode , and a self-service client is started against the database, the following is written to standard output and the db.lg file:
Access to the database during the dbadmin process is not allowed because it may modify the database. (17075) Please wait until the dbadmin Restricted Access Mode has been disabled. (17076) - If a remote client is started against a database in restricted mode, these messsages are written to the standard out:
and the following message is written to the db.lg file:The server or the system has no more resources. Please contact Progress Technical Support. (748) Please see Knowledge Base Article: (000020228) How to set the values for the startup parameters -Ma, -Mn, and -n. (19489) ** Server rejected login. (700)(17075) Access to the database during the DBAdmin process is not allowed because it may modify the database.
