You have several option for creating and maintaining OpenEdge databases:

  • Data Dictionary — The Data Dictionary allows you to create OpenEdge databases and maintain schema in a graphical or character interface. You can define and update tables, fields, indexes, and sequences.
  • Data Administration — The Data Administration provides a graphical interface for creating and maintaining OpenEdge databases. Available administration tasks include dumping and loading data and schema, along with tasks related to reporting, security, and DataServers.
  • Database Administration Console -- As part of OpenEdge Management, the Database Administration Console provides a browser-based interface for maintaining database schema, particularly multi-tenant schema.
