Use
Blocks in Alternate Buffer Pool (-B2) to specify the
number of blocks in the alternate buffer pool. The optimum value
depends on your application.
You cannot specify Blocks in Alternate Buffer Pool for a Replication target database.
To modify this parameter while the database is online, use PROUTIL INCREASETO.
You can use this parameter to support continuous operation of the database. For more information, see Change database parameters while the database is running.

platforms. The maximum is system dependent and limited by available
