Deactivates the Change Data Capture (CDC) feature online from a CDC-enabled database without purging CDC data and CDC policies. This option does not require a CDC license.

Syntax

proutil db-name -C deactivatecdc

Parameters

db-name
The name of the database where you are deactivating CDC.

After the feature is deactivated, users can open the database without having a CDC license.

Successful execution of DEACTIVATECDC deactivates the CDC feature online without purging CDC data and CDC policies. After the transaction of the activation is committed, CDC activity is stopped. Existing CDC policies are not changed. Users can still maintain CDC policies, but active CDC policies are not taken into efffect if the CDC feature is inactive.
