You can save time and disk space by compressing data during your OpenEdge database backup.

An OpenEdge database backup lets you compress data immediately and efficiently. You can perform data compression during online or offline backups. Use the PROBKUP utility to specify one of ten backup compression levels; lower levels yield higher compression speed, while higher levels yield higher data compression.
