Enables the TDE database policy management feature.

Syntax

proutil db-name -C enableTDEDBPolicyManagement

Parameters

db-name
The name of the database where you are enabling the TDE DB policy management feature.

After you enable this feature, you can use the dbpolicy rekey parameter of the PROUTIL EPOLICY MANAGE command to change the database master key. See PROUTIL EPOLICY MANAGE qualifier for command syntax and details.

Note

PROUTIL ENABLETDEDBPOLICYMANAGEMENT requires Database Administrator and key store administrator privileges.

If you want to revert to an earlier OpenEdge release and use the database in which the TDE DB policy management feature is enabled, you must first disable the feature. You can do this using the PROUTIL DISABLETDEDBPOLICYMANAGEMENT command.
