In a client/server environment, an OpenAccess SDK data access connection involves the following stages:
- A network connection is established.
- An authentication mechanism is used to establish the identity of the OpenAccess SDK Client to the OpenAccess SDK Server.
- Based on information provided by the OpenAccess SDK Client application (for example, a data source user name and password), a data source connection is established.
