The JDBC Client is used in a client/server architecture. The JDBC Client supports the use of LDAP servers and SSL.
The JDBC Client uses the Progress DataDirect wire-level protocol to communicate with the DataDirect OpenAccess SDK Server as shown in the following Figure:
