The disk cache module uses the service attributes described in the following table. They are displayed in the SQL Engine Parameters display group in the OpenAccess SDK Management Console.

Configuration Parameters for the Disk Cache Module

Service Attribute Description
ServiceSQLDiskCacheDataBlockSize Specifies the block size of the file (in KB). This size determines how the OpenAccess SQL engine writes and read records from the cache file. The default size is 64 KB. For better performance, tune this attribute with the operating system file buffer size.
ServiceSQLDiskCacheMemSize Describes the threshold for result set size (in KB). If the result set size exceeds this value, then the OpenAccess SDK SQL engine starts to cache records to disk.
ServiceSQLDiskCacheIncrementSize Describes the next increment size of the file (in MB). The default is 5 MB.
ServiceSQLDiskCacheInitialSize Describes initial size of the file in megabytes (MB). Estimate this size to allow most results to be saved without having to expand it too many times. The default is 10 MB.
ServiceSQLDiskCacheMaxSize Describes maximum allowable size of the file (in MB). The default is 50 MB.
ServiceSQLDiskCachePath Describes the path to store CacheData and Sort file(s).
