Remote System Administration

Remote system administration allows you to configure and manage your data access environment from the convenience of your desktop regardless of your OpenAccess SDK Server platform. For example, suppose you are responsible for administering an environment with distributed data access involving a variety of data stores across your enterprise, such as Oracle on UNIX and Windows, and Microsoft SQL Server on Windows as shown in the following figure. You can install the OpenAccess SDK Management Console on a Windows networked client and perform administration tasks, such as configuring OpenAccess SDK service settings, from the convenience of your desktop.

Remote System Administration for Data Access Environments

If you prefer to use a command-line tool rather than a GUI tool, you can use the OpenAccess SDK Management Command-Line to remotely administer your OpenAccess SDK environment.
